About The Shire
The Shire is a 5 person, generally quiet, house that enjoys getting together for movie nights and bonfires. Our membership is diverse, with a mix of people who work full time and upper level students or graduate students, along with our furry friends. The Shire is conveniently located about 10 minutes from MSU, down the road from Meijer and the Meridian Mall. Additionally, there is a bike path next to us that runs all the way to Lake Lansing and connects into several other hiking trails.
Our smaller house size offers a unique opportunity to get involved with the co-op, as each member is expected to hold an officer position. The smaller size of our house gives each member the opportunity to leave their mark on the house and make necessary changes to keep The Shire a happy and welcoming environment for all.
