About Verona

The SHC purchased two neighboring houses on Lansing’s Eastside via referendum in 2025, and they’re ready for members! The Verona houses operate as one six-member cooperative with a focus on being visible in Lansing’s eastside community. Located walking distance from ELFCO, Allen Neighborhood Center, Lansing’s bike co-op, The Avenue, and The Fledge, these houses have the unique opportunity to be a visible beacon for the cooperative movement in Lansing. Prospective members should be passionate about the Spartan Housing Cooperative with a willingness to be visible in the community and a desire to grow the cooperative movement as a whole.
